Well, my amazing month of vacation in the US is over and I'm back to Paris and the daily grind of metro, boulot, dodo. I got back on Wednesday morning, though I was supposed to get back Tuesday morning (thanks US Airways) and have a day off before I went back to work. Instead I got back on Wednesday and had to hurry to plan lessons, get ready and head off to work. Pretty rough end to a wonderful vacation!
I'm sorry I didn't post at all from the US. I thought I might have time to put up a post or two, but I was so busy visiting with friends and family that I just never found the time. So, blog readers, I am sorry. But I'm back and I have a ton of things to post about in the next week or two!
As I was saying, I was extremely busy while I was in the US visiting friends and family. I was also busy showing Lionel around Ohio and we did a ton of shopping in the US since things are so much less expensive there. We also spent a few days in the Smoky Mountains relaxing and hiking with my family, and then we headed down to South Carolina and spent a week at the beach on Hilton Head Island. While we were there we took a day trip to Savannah, Georgia to visit the city. All in all my time in the US was great and I wish I were still there rather than back in cold, gray, rainy Paris (it was hot and sunny the entire month in Ohio!).
But now that I'm back I have to look forward and work on trying to improve my life here in Paris and in France, and I think I have some changes coming up that might make a big difference! But I'll be writing about all that soon!
Hope everyone enjoyed their vacations!!!
Welcome back! I hope you are refreshed from your break and ready to rumble in Paris once again. I look forward to reading about your changes in the future, good luck!
ReplyDeleteHow did your garden do whilst you were away?
Hey piglet, thanks! I think I'm ready to go back in Paris, though it was hard to get back. But I'm getting back into the swing of things!
ReplyDeleteMy garden did very well while we were away. We thought we would lose all our plants, but since apparently it rained almost every day while we were gone, we not only didn't lose them, but they have taken over our tiny garden. They grew to be bigger than any tomato plants I have ever seen and we have tons of tomatoes and zucchini to eat!
